The ancient Thrikkavu Temple is positioned in Ponnani, Malappuram District in the state of Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Sri Durga. This temple is considered to be one of the most important of the 108 Durga temples established by Parasurama in Kerala.
The presiding deity of the temple is said to be Goddess Savabheeshtapradhayani, a form of Goddess Durga. Other deities of this temple include Lord Krishna, Lord Siddhi Vinayaka, Lord Hanuman, Brahmarakshas, Upa devatha and Sasthavu.
The major festival celebrated in the temple is Navarathri Mahotsavam. On the auspicious day of Vijayadasami, a ritual of Vidyarambham is performed which attracts a large number of devotees to the temple. This particular ritual signifies the formal beginning of education.
Temple is opened from 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM and from 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM.
