Kedarnath is a holy Hindu town located in Uttarakhand in India. The present temple, built in 8th century A.D. by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities and scenes from mythology. A conical rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as Lord Shiva in his Sadashiva form. Plus there are many other exciting factors that make this place a paradise.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 – Delhi – Haridwar

After you arrive at the Delhi Airport, proceed to Haridwar by road. On the way, get your test done for the onward yatra. Once you reach Haridwar, check into your pre-booked hotel. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri, a famous ghat on the river Ganga and enjoy the Ganga Aarti on its bank. Then, return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 2 – Haridwar – Guptakashi

After your breakfast, proceed to Guptakashi by Road. Guptakashi is a village of several major tourist attractions, which makes it an important stop on the route to Char Dham Yatra Once you reach Guptakashi, check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 – Guptakashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath

The third day starts with a drive to Gaurikund, a main base for the trek. There are various sacred bathing places in Gaurikund. It is believed that the sins get washed away in these places. Either you can hire a palki or a horse or trek to Kedarnath. On the way, there are many picturesque places to stop by. During the trek, you get to cross various mountains and the jungles chanting ‘Jai Bholenath’. Once you reach, check into the government camps and cottages for a comfortable night stay.

Day 4 – Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Guptakashi

In the early morning, proceed to the shrine at around 4.45 am and attend the most sacred Special Pooja ‘Abhishekam’ of Lord Shiva. After offering your prayers to Lord and getting the poojas and darshan done, get back to the camp to start your return trek to Gaurikund. Once you reach the destination, return to the booked hotel for a relaxed overnight stay.

Day 5 – Guptakashi – Rishikesh – Haridwar

The fifth day starts with your journey to Rishikesh by road. Rishikesh is popular for some exciting adventures such as rafting, bungee jumping and trekking. You can also experience Ayurvedic massage and attend other yoga classes. Later, in the evening, proceed to Haridwar by road.

Day 6 – Haridwar – Delhi

On the final day of the tour, you will be transferred to Delhi by road for onward journey.

Helicopter Charges:

Phata – Kedarnath- Phata return fare @ INR 8500 per person (Subject to change)
As per the policy of Helicopter service providers only 3 Kg of handbag is allowed and full fare would be charged from children 3 years & above of age.
For same day return trip report time at helipad is 0700 Hrs and for overnight passengers is 0930 hrs.
Passengers would be given 1-2 Hours for darshan and one can avail priority darshan tickets upon arrival in Kedarnath which are available only for Helicopter passengers.
