Yes it is possible to see aura in pictures. Most people see the Etheric aura which is the first layer or the covering around the body.

I believe its more of the vibration that you feel rather than physically seeing the colours . As you feel the vibration you are internally able to connect with the colours. Lets say for the throat it is the blue colour, for some it would be the blue sky or the blue ocean. combining colours and vibration can take you to the next level of understanding.

I suggest that you go for a clear quartz. It is considered as a general tonic and helps to mellow down your emotions and keeps you in control. Even the darker stones are considered to be grounding but it is important to cleanse them once in a week with spring water. But don’t worry it is through exploration you will find the correct crystal combo that suits you the best.

You could also fill a bowl with salt and cover it with a cloth in order to protect it from getting scratches followed by warming up the crystals in water or with your own hands to reactivate them.
