The Gangotri Temple was built by a Gorkha Commander in the early years of the 18th century. This temple stands at an altitude of 3042m and emits a highly pious aura. Religious rituals are in full swing in the Gangotri temple with the Aarti ceremony performed by the pujaris of the Semwal family.

Just the perfect destination to breath in a serene and pious atmosphere, Gangotri has the charm to attract people from all over. The striking presence of the snow-clad mountains in the vicinity and the pure crystal clear water of the Ganges flowing around add to the sanctity of the place. One feels close to God in the high altitude of Gangotri.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 – Delhi – Haridwar

As soon as you reach the Delhi railway station, board the train for Haridwar, the gateway of Ek Dham Yatra. The journey will take approximately 6 hrs to reach Haridwar. On arrival, partake in the Ganga aarti in the evening. Later, our tour representative will escort you to your hotel. Once you check-in, you will be briefed about the yatra. Dinner and overnight stay is at Haridwar.

Day 2 – Haridwar – Uttarkashi

Post breakfast, move to Chami via Mussoorie. On the way, visit Kempty falls. Dinner and overnight stay is planned at the hotel.

Day 3 – Uttarkashi – Harsil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Have tea/coffee in the morning and leave for Gangotri with breakfast packed. On the way, halt at Gangnani, a hot water spring. After offering prayers in the Gangotri temple, stop for lunch. After lunch, you move back to Uttarkashi and stay overnight. In between, you halt at Gangnani.

Day 4 – Uttarkashi – Haridwar

Post breakfast, move back to the Haridwar for the overnight stay.

Day 5 – Haridwar – Delhi

After the early morning breakfast, drive to Delhi for your further journey. On the way, halt for lunch and drop at Delhi.
